We are ready to leave for our beloved South Tyrol. This time we go almost to the border with Austria, in San Candido, in the heart of Val Pusteria, to stay at the Post Hotel - Tradition & Lifestyle, an Adults Only Hotel.
Wir sind bereit, in unser geliebtes Südtirol wieder anzukommen. Dieses Mal fahren wir fast bis zur Grenze zu Österreich, nach Innichen, im Herzen des Pustertals, um im Post Hotel - Tradition & Lifestyle, einem Adults Only Hotel, zu übernachten.
The Post Hotel, run by the Wachtler family, is located in the center of San Candido Innichen, a pretty village in the shadow of Monte Baranci. At the reception we find Mrs. Wilma's smile welcoming us. Entering the Post Hotel, you immediately perceive the love for design and attention to detail that transformed the small 1926 guesthouse (inaugurated by grandfather Wachtler) into a Boutique Hotel.
Das von der Familie Wachtler geführte Post Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Innichen, einem hübschen Dorf im Schatten des Monte Baranci. An der Rezeption begrüßen wir Frau Wilma mit einem Lächeln. Wenn man das Post Hotel betritt, spürt man sofort die Liebe zum Design und die Liebe zum Detail, die das kleine Gästehaus von 1926 (eröffnet von Großvater Wachtler) in ein Boutique-Hotel verwandelt haben.
We stayed in the "The Sun Suite", number 302, characterized by a small balcony overlooking Monte Baranci right in front. Opening the curtains and being in front of that show is priceless.
Wir wohnten in der "Die Sonne Suite", Nummer 302, die sich durch einen kleinen Balkon mit Blick auf den Monte Baranci - Haunold direkt davor auszeichnete. Die Vorhänge zu öffnen und vor dieser Show zu stehen, ist unbezahlbar.
The strong point of the Post Hotel is the location. In the center of San Candido, a few steps from the Haunold (Baranci) chairlift and in the heart of the Tre Cime Dolomiti ski area, a destination for wonderful excursions in the summer and skiing in the winter and very close to world-famous places such as Lake Braies (only 20 minutes by car from the Post Hotel).

Im Zentrum von Innichen, nur wenige Schritte vom Sessellift Haunold (Baranci) entfernt und im Herzen des Skigebiets Drei Zinnen Dolomiten, ein Ziel für wunderschöne Ausflüge im Sommer und Skifahren im Winter und ganz in der Nähe weltberühmter Orte wie zum Beispiel den Pragser Wildsee (nur 20 minuten mit dem Auto vom Post Hotel entfernt).

Swimming pool, relaxation areas, saunas and Turkish bath are available to customers to recharge their batteries after a day full of activities.

As if all this were not enough, the Post Hotel has a panoramic terrace overlooking the roofs of San Candido. From here it seems you can touch Monte Baranci and the bell tower of the church of San Michele.

Since summer 2023, the Post Hotel will also have great news for its guests: the Secret Garden. Seit Sommer 2023 hat das Post Hotel auch eine tolle Neuigkeit für seine Gäste: den Secret Garden. Ein fast versteckter Raum, der den Hotelgästen zur Verfügung steht, um sich in völliger Ruhe auszuruhen. Ein kleiner, von außen unsichtbarer, geheimer Innenhof voller Blumen und Design-Einrichtungsdetails wie von den Bäumen hängende Kronleuchter und eine Giraffe, die den Garten beleuchtet. Der ideale Ort, um vom Alltag abzuschalten.
There is no better way to end the day than with a dinner at the Post Hotel restaurant, directed by chef Raffaele Liuzzi. A mix of traditional South Tyrolean cuisine and modernity. We couldn't give up to the temptation of trio of canederli and let ourselves be won over by the local cheese buffet.
Es gibt nicht besser, als in dem Restaurant im Post Hotel unter der Leitung von Küchenchef Raffaele Liuzzi den Tag zu beenden. Eine Mischung aus traditioneller und moderner Küche. Wir konnten der Versuchung eines Canederli-Trios nicht widerstehen und uns vom lokalen Käsebuffet überzeugen ließen.
